Following his success on NBC’s The Voice, Paxton Ingram has released debut single “L2LY” under the artist project, ‘PXTN.’ According to the singer, Ingram has wanted to perform under the moniker since his time on The Voice, but due to requirements that asked for him to use his first and last name, he had to push back ideas for the concept.
Now that he’s become his own artist, Ingram felt like it was the perfect time to debut as ‘PXTN’ and celebrate it with the release of the single, “L2LY.”
“When I joined The Voice I was required to have a last name, so I bit the bullet and scrapped PXTN for the sake of being on TV. Now that it’s over I want to take back what’s mine. PXTN is who I am, it is my identity, and I feel like I’m finally coming into my own,” says Ingram.
The new single comes two years after his release of the EP, Recover, featuring hits “Barricade” and “Hands (Piano Version)”, which charted in the Top 100 on iTunes Pop Charts.
CelebMix had the opportunity to interview the artist last year, where we asked him about his time on The Voice. To read the full interview, click here.
We can’t wait to see what else Paxton Ingram has planned for this new era.
