Jane The Virgin and Miss Bala star Gina Rodriguez stars in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix film, Someone Great.
Rodriguez stars as an aspiring music journalist named Jenny who has just gotten the job of her dreams in San Francisco. When she tells her boyfriend of nine years, he decides to end the relationship rather than try to work it out. Heartbroken, Jenny calls her two best friends Erin (DeWanda Wise) and Blair (Brittany Snow) for one last big adventure before she moves away.
Unlike other romcoms, Someone Great puts female friendships at the center through a heartfelt story of what it means to become an adult. In the trailer, Rodriguez’s character grapples with the fact that she is about to turn thirty and enter a full-time career. Seeing your twenties fly by is scary but as the trailer shows, as long as you have your friends, everything will be okay.
